Owners of banned or restricted breeds, including XL Bullies, must adhere to all regulations set forth by DEFRA and relevant government bodies regarding the ownership and management of such breeds on the day of their visit to Bawtry Pawfect Secure Dog Field.
When Booking Bawtry Pawfect Secure Dog Field there is a option to tick if you will be attending with a banned breed of dog. If you are attending with a banned breed you will need to provide the below certificates before your visit. These will be checked and saved for future visits.
Please provide the below:
- Insurance Certificate
- Exemption Certificate
- Proof of Microchip Number
- Proof of neutering in line with government guidelines

1. Handler-to-Dog Ratio: Exempt breeds can only enter the field with other dogs from the same household. Each exempt breed of dog must have one handler present for supervision and control e.g 1 exempt breed of dog = 1 handler, 2 exempt breeds of dogs = 2 handlers, 3 exempt breed of dog = 3 handlers. If a exempt breed of dog is coming with other dogs from the same household but they are not an exempt breed, the not exempt breed of dog need a minimum of 1 handler present.
2. Muzzle Protocol: Muzzles must be worn upon entry and exit from the field, and they may only be removed after all gates are securely closed and locked. Muzzles must be reinstated before opening the gates to depart.
- 3. Lead Usage: Leads must be used upon entry and exit until inside the field, with gates securely closed and locked. The reverse process should be followed when leaving the field.
- 4. Secure Gates: During field use, ensure that all gates are securely closed and locked.
- 5. Additional Compliance: Please agree to additional Terms and Conditions prior to booking.
